Wireless for Hope Features

Though the program does offer free phones and free minutes in most states they service; the allotted minutes are over 50% lower than provided by, major providers like  Safelink Wireless.  Believe it or not, when Safelink began working with Lifeline, they were offering only 76 minutes each month. They have  since increased to 250 minutes.  So, most likely, the same thing will happen with wireless for Hope.

The number of minutes offered by this cell phone provider will vary depending on the state.   Unlimited Talk and text messaging are available in Oklahoma for $1.00 a month.  Some states offer 100 minutes and text messaging for no cost.   Go to the site to find out what the policy is for your state.

Kisha, try Cricket. They are now working with Lifeline. I do not believe they give out free phones. Reachout Wireless, will provide a free basic phone, you will have to upgrade to get a better phone.
